Kansas City, Mo. — One of the questions I am asked the most is how to get healthy stuff and still save money.  This week is a GREAT example!!  Keep in mind that It’s not convenient and takes time.  But I look at it like it’s my second job.  (I save way more than I’d make actually working a second job.  I know because I’ve done it.  Plus my husband and I SOMEHOW bought a house where every single store I need is on my way home from work … so I don’t spend any extra cash on gas.  (Unless you count pulling in and out of a parking lot.)

2/16 Trip to CVS:

Transaction #1:

     Bought 2 Select Right Guard, Dry Idea antiperspirant/deodorant or Total Defense body wash 13.5 oz., 2/$8 — Earn $4 in ECB

     Used $1.50 off two Body Wash or Bar Soap CVS Coupon Printer (exp. 2/16/14)
     STACK WITH $2/2 Right Guard Products

     Bought 1 Birthday Cake M&M’s Singles, $0.75 (I thought this was supposed to print a $0.75 ECB, but it didn’t.)

     Used $5 in ECB left over from last week

     Total:  $0.74 (Plus get $4 in ECB)

Transaction #2:

     Bought 2 Grape Nuts Fit, 2/$5

     Bought 1 Gallon of Milk, $4.49 (Use FREE Milk wyb (2) Post Cereals, exp. 3/2/14 (SS 01/19/14 R)

          Submit for $0.50 Ibotta

          Submit for $0.50 Checkout 51

     Bought 2 Scott TP Singles (Used $1/2 coupon from CVS Coupon Printer)

     Used $4 ECB from Transaction #1

     Total: $2.63

CVS Shopping Total:  $3.37 (Plus you’ll get $0.50 deposited into your Ibotta and Checkout 51 accounts … So $2.37 OOP)

 

2/16 Price Chopper Trip:

     Boneless, skinless chicken breast, $1.88/lb

     Gillette Mach3 Razor – $7.99

     Diet Dr. Pepper 12 Pack — $1.50 with this Facebook coupon (good 2/16 only!!) P.S. — Not so healthy … but GREAT price!!

     Broccoli Crowns, $0.99

          Submit for $0.25 Checkout 51 deposit

     100% Wheat Bread

          Submit for $0.50 Checkout 51 deposit

Aldi Shopping Total:  $2.39 (Plus you’ll get $0.75 deposited into your Checkout 51 Account.  So, $1.64 OPP)

Grand Total:  $27.45 (Plus you’ll get $1.75 into savings apps … so $25.70 OPP)
