INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Disturbing reports of sexual abuse against two young girls has a woman and her boyfriend facing charges. Prosecutors have charged Terrah Lasure with endangering the welfare of a child, and her boyfriend Shannon Langley with sexual misconduct that include three counts of statutory sodomy.

Court documents say the assaults took place at an Independence apartment complex where Lasure and Langley lived. Documents say authorities were tipped off about the alleged abuse when two girls say they were at the house for a sleepover with another girl.

Documents say Langley suggested they all bathe together, after the girls got muddy playing outside. Documents say he walked in while they were all bathing several times and used the bathroom in front of them. At one pointed Langley is accused of showing the girls some sex toys, asked if they knew what they were, and then asked if they`d like to try using them.

Months after Langley was arrested after trying to escape from police, officers say they learned Langley had performed sex acts on both the 4-year-old, and 9-year-old victims.

Documents say at times, Lasure watched Langley assault one of the victims, even encouraging some of the acts. She’s accused of telling the young victim,  “everything we do here is a secret.” Documents say Lasure admitted to leaving the house when she knew Langley was sexually assaulting one of the victims.

While documents say she knew about some of the sex acts, Lasure denied taking part in them.

Langley is in jail being held on a $100,000 cash bond, and due in court on January 25. Lasure is in jail on a $15,000 cash bond, and will appear in court on January 20.
