KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A water main break in downtown Kansas City has affected a couple of businesses and an area of downtown traffic on Friday afternoon. The break occurred at 13th and Wyandotte and has closed that intersection. The Aladdin Hotel and Budget Rent-a-Car businesses have lost water service due to the incident according to a water department spokeswoman.
The water department estimates that the water will be turned back on shortly after midnight on Saturday. Other hotels have allowed guests of the Aladdin to shower and clean up at their buildings.
