WICHITA, Kan. — A regular trip to McDonald’s for a couple ended with a police standoff — and the couple in custody.

Wichita police say the couple was given the wrong order in a drive-thru line, so they cut in front of others at the drive-thru to get the order fixed. They then argued with two people in another car; eventually, the woman threw a crowbar at the other car, while the man fired a shotgun at the other car’s door.

The car had personalized plates, so police were able to quickly find the owners at their home.  However, they refused to talk to police, so a standoff started.  They eventually gave up without incident.

“I just couldn’t imagine somebody getting that upset over a wrong order at a restaurant,” neighbor Kristen Pore told Wichita’s KWCH-TV.
