A photographer determined to get “the shot” got a little more than he bargained for in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee.
The photographer was documenting elk at sunrise when he suddenly became the focus of the documentary as one of the elk took a special (and up-close) interest in him.
The elk nudged him over and over with his head. At one point it appears as if the photographer’s jacked got hooked on the elk’s horns.
A park ranger was eventually able to shoo the animal away.
