KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A trio of local boys made good were joined by a number of other celebrities at Kauffman Stadium on Friday evening for some wiffle ball action.
Metro natives Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis and Rob Riggle are in town for their annual Big Slick KC Poker Tournament, which goes to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital.
But it was a game of wiffle ball at the Little K field at Kauffman Stadium prior to the Royals-Cardinals game that drew out the star power, as they were joined by “Madmen” star Jon Hamm, “House” star Olivia Wilde and “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville were among the celebs to step up to the plate.
“Such a great cause and we’re so excited to be here to be able to do this,” said Rudd. “We’re so thankful people come out and support this event and help us with it. (It’s) really exciting.”
Rudd and Sudeikis are both Shawnee Mission West High School alumni, while Riggle attended Shawnee Mission South High School.
Earlier in the day, about a dozen of the stars toured Children’s Mercy Hospital, where they met and played with kids in the cancer unit.
