1) THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 (PG-13)

While no masterpiece, the finale to the hugely popular “Twilight Saga” didn’t deserve to receive the Razzie as the worst film of 2012. The dialogue is often laughably silly, but director Bill Condon pulls some neat tricks on the audience that give the movie enough zip to overcome most of the story’s ridiculous elements.

Yes, Razzies are awarded for the worst of the worst. The opposite of the Oscars. And, no the final episode of The Twilight Saga did not deserve to be listed among the worst. There are a lot of haters out there. Anyone with any serious knowledge of film would agree. In fact “Breaking Dawn Part 2” is the best of the franchise.

Twi-hards who go for the ethereal romance of the novels will probably enjoy it.

“Breaking Dawn Part 2” offers much of the same with a slight upgrade in the acting department. It’s also beautifully shot. Masterfully directed. And a stunning kick butt ending that is an absolute jaw-dropper. Long live the fab three: Kristen, Rob and Taylor… The Blu-ray extras include a seven-part making-of documentary, music video, featurettes and a director’s commentary.

2) WRECK-IT, RALPH (PG)
RUSS
Can you remember the ancient days of the 1980s when video arcade games swept the nation? If so, you may feel downright nostalgic when viewing the Disney animated flick, “Wreck-it, Ralph.” John C. Reilly provides the voice of Ralph, a destructive video game bad guy, who’d just like to be nice for a change.
SHAWN
“Wreck-It, Ralph” flat out got robbed at the Oscars. This was the best animated feature last year by far. It was fresh, fun and fantastic. Sure I knew “Brave” would win. But the dumb Academy can’t see past the Pixar brand which to be honest isn’t as innovative or creative as it he’d to be. I loved “Wreck-It, Ralph’s” energy, spirit and really cool look.

It plays a bit like a mash-up of “Toy Story” and “Monsters, Inc.” While no classic, “Wreck-it, Ralph” is zippy enough for the kids while providing a humorous walk down memory lane for Mom and Dad.

Gotta strongly disagree. “Wreck-It, Ralph” is fo’ sho’ a classic. The more you watch the better it gets. It’s like playing your favorite video game. It never gets old. You will be able to choose from a standard DVD copy without extras, a two-disc collector’s edition, and a four-disc ultimate collector’s edition which comes in 3D. The bonus material includes a “making of” video, alternate and deleted scenes, video game commercials for games made for the film, and Paperman, the short movie shown before “Wreck-It, Ralph” at theaters.
