KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It is a murder case that has shocked a Kansas City community. On August 23 a relative made the gruesome discovery of a mother and her young daughter dead inside of their home. Family and friends said their final farewells to Myeisha Turner and Damiah White on Saturday.
Turner was only 28 years old; she was a daughter, a mother, a student, a caregiver. Her daughter, Damiah White, was just three years old. Her family said that she was grown beyond her years and loved the song ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’.
Both of them had so much ahead of them, but that all ended in a painful tragedy. On Saturday afternoon many gathered inside of the Christian Tabernacle Church where friends and family told stories about the joy both of Myeisha and Damiah brought to their lives. They called them angels now that look down over their friends and family.
Turner and White are survived by an 11-month-old boy, Denim White, who was also found in the home with mother and sister but was unharmed. Police are still seeking public assistance to find the person or persons responsible. If you have any information, call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS (8477).
