RAYTOWN, Mo. — Out for a morning run on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012, Harry Stone was ready for a day with family, but while running near the intersection of 67th and Blue Ridge Boulevard, someone shot and killed Stone.
No one knows why anyone would want to hurt this family man.
“As far as we know it’s a random act of violence, they did it for fun, or did it for, well we don’t know why,” said Howard Wills, Stone’s brother.
Wills says the last three years have been beyond difficult for his entire family.
“Harry was such a good person and it just- he’s the last person you want to lose in a family,” said Wills.
While finding out who killed Harry won’t bring him back, it will bring the family closure, so Howard is pleading for someone to come forward with information about who killed his brother. Stone’s family is also offering a hefty reward of $25,000.
“They should have trouble sleeping at night knowing this information and not coming forward,” said Wills.
And bring justice for a man who loved his family and lived to help others.
“Justice, justice would be sweet. It really would be. Harry never hurt anyone,” said Willis.
If you know who killed Harry Stone, call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
