KANSAS CITY, Mo. — North Kansas City police confirmed Thursday morning that Aaron Clary is safe at an area hospital and getting treatment.
Clary was reported missing on Tuesday, April 29. Friends, family, and even some strangers worried about his safety searched for him.
Aaron’s fiance says she came home Tuesday and saw that his belongings were all still at home and he’d left a note asking her to take care of their 18-month-old baby. In the note he said he didn’t know where he was going.
Wednesday, Aaron’s family and friends started looking for him in the woods near 210 Highway and Searcy Creek Parkway.
Aaron’s stepfather says he suffers from P.T.S.D., depression and bipolar disorder. They feared for his physical and mental health.
“We’re not too worried about him doing harm to himself at the present moment, we’re just worried about his mental state,” they said.
In 2001 a friend of Aaron’s was killed in the woods near 210 Highway and Searcy Creek Parkway by some of his other friends. Aaron’s stepdad said Aaron saw his friend’s body and called police. He said that experience is what caused Aaron’s long-term P.T.S.D.
