OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A million more American kids are taking medicine for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, compared to a decade ago. But many parents are jittery over the side effects. One family ditched medicine for treatment that they call, “amazing.”

“We’ve seen dramatic improvements in people in as little as a few weeks to a short two or three months,” said their doctor.

But others say the treatment is unproven.
