KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The odds are definitely not in your favor.  Your chances of winning Saturday night’s lottery are 1 in 175 million.

But the experts say if you do match the winning numbers, there are some things you need to think about.

At Red-X in Riverside, the lines on Saturday were long at times.  The lines of people hoping to be the next multimillionaire.

“I see alot of new people when it gets this high,” said one of the store’s workers.

And many people who spoke with FOX 4 say they already know what they will do with the money.

“I would pay off some bills and move to California,” one woman said.

However, financial advisors say if you do win, you need to be prepared.

“It’s actually exciting thing.  The thing you should do first is talk to people you trust about finding an advisor.  You need to find a financial advisor and an attorney.  You need a team of people around you to help make decisions,” said Kathy Stepp, a financial consultant.

You would also have to think about how you will split up the money.

“There is a gift limit, so if you take it al yourself and you want to give it to family,
remember that could lead to taxable income because there is a limit on how much you can give to another person in a year.

And if you do find yourself as the winner — take a deep break and get ready, because your life will soon change.
