OLATHE, Kan. — A fire erupted at a home in Olathe Friday evening and one woman died, firefighters confirmed.
The fire started at about 6 p.m. in the area of East 155th Street and Mur-Len Road.
Firefighters attempted to rescue the victim, who was identified as a 50-year old woman.
When firefighters arrived, they said light smoke was coming from the residence.
Overland Park firefighters assisted in putting out the fire.
