LAWRENCE, Kan. — Five male high school seniors can expect to be disciplined by school leaders after they were identified as those responsible for the shaving cream vandalism discovered Thursday at Lawrence High Stadium, at 19th and Louisiana.

According to a news release from Julie Boyle, Director of Communications for Lawrence Public Schools, the Lawrence Police Department and school resource officers from both Lawrence High and Free State High, helped identify the vandals.

“The school has notified the students’ parents and initiated disciplinary action in accordance with Board Policy,” the release said.

Rick Doll, Lawrence Superintendent of Schools, called the vandalism offensive and in very poor judgment. It included the ‘n-word’ and a shaving cream drawing of a male body part. Vandals also egged a section of bleachers and moved some athletic equipment.
