OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — An Olathe woman is accused of stealing more than $25,000 from an Overland Park middle school parent teacher organization. The PTO president of Pleasant Ridge Middle School said Christine Ann Glover was the organization’s treasurer.

Court documents said Glover stole somewhere between $25,000 and $100,000 from the PTO.

The PTO’s president, Pamela Yonker, told FOX 4 that in February the organization noticed money missing from its bank account. She said Glover had access to the account. She also said that Glover was immediately removed from the account and the PTO board.

According to court documents, the money was removed sometime between August of 2014 and Febuary 17, 2016. Jail booking logs indicate that Glover was booked into The Johnson County Jail on Friday afternoon and bonded out Friday evening.

Yonker said the PTO will be doing a lot of extra fundraising to make up for the loss in funds. She said the money raised by the PTO is typically used for operation expenses and school activities, like dances and teacher appreciation lunches.

She said as soon as the PTO can talk about further details they will, but she said they couldn’t in months past because the investigation was in progress.
