INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Officials say that some schools in the Independence School District are under lockdown following a police chase on Tuesday morning.
According to a district spokesperson, Blackburn Elementary School and Bridger, Bingham, and Pioneer Ridge middle schools are under lockdown following a police chase that ended near 291 Highway and Gudgell Street.
Police are searching an area near East 25th Terrace and South Whitney.
