KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police responded to Whittier Elementary School on Wednesday and found that a bullet had hit the building. Police believe the bullet came from a drive-by shooting and located a suspected vehicle on Thursday.

Officers initially attempted to stop it on the 1200 block of Sumner and became involved in a chase. They used stop sticks to disable the vehicle and it was stopped on the I-670 bridge near Genessee Street. All four people in the vehicle were taken into custody.

Police are still investigating and have not named the suspects or announced possible charges yet. Anyone with information about the drive-by shooting on Wednesday is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
