KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Four Kansas City and Kansas City, Kan., teens have been charged in connection with shots fired at undercover police officers in Kansas City and a subsequent chase that ended with a crash involving a truck in Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday.

Jonathan Williams, 18, of Kansas City, faces Attempted Burglary 1st Degree.

Neville Story, 18, of Kansas City, Kan., faces Attempted Burglary 1st Degree.

Sophia M. Strickland, 18, of Kansas City, Kan., faces Attempted Burglary 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Marquise A Bankston, 19, of Kansas City, faces Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action and Attempted Burglary 1st Degree.

According to court records, the four suspects attempted to break into a Kansas City, Mo., residence and were observed by undercover police officers looking for a similar vehicle reportedly cruising the neighborhood. The defendants got into the vehicle and fled.

As they did, police say Bakston exited their vehicle and fired at least two shots at the undercover officers’ vehicle. According to police, he got back into the vehicle and police chased the defendants at high speed into Kansas City, Kan.

Police believe that along the way, Bankston discarded the firearm. The chase ended when their vehicle collided with a semi truck in Kansas City, Kan.

Prosecutors requested a bond of $100,000 for Sophia Strickland.

They asked for $50,000 for Story and Jonathan Williams, and $150,000 for Marquise A Bankston.
