KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dental care for children is a luxury many families simply can’t afford. During the month of June, the Kansas City Health Department is offering free dental care for kids who don’t have insurance.

Pediatric dental care was supposed to be a benefit under Obamacare, but there was a change in rules. But during the month of June, many of those families can get free dental care for their kids.

“This is a great opportunity for the Health Department to offer another needed service to the public in a central location through a partnership with HOPE Dental,” said Jelene Wynn, RN, public health nurse supervisor.

Services are available Monday through Friday, at the Health Department, located at 2400 Troost Ave., Suite 1400. Individuals must make an appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call HOPE Dental at 816-679-2198.

HOPE stands for Heartland Outreach Providers: Excellent Care in Mobile Dentistry.
