GRANDVIEW, Mo. — It’s looking like areas south of Kansas City got hit the hardest, and people had to shovel their way out of it.
A few inches of snow is what we all dread shoveling in the morning but some lucky neighbors got a little bit of help Saturday.
“I think it’s fun we’re doing this!” Asia Stevenson said to her friends.
Three Grandview teens aren’t spending their Saturday afternoon like most their age. They looked out their window to see their neighborhood was coated with inches of snow. Cars were sliding, driveways were buried; so the three decided to do something about it.
“Excuse me would you like for us to shovel your driveway for free?” Kasee Brown asked a neighbor.
No charge needed. The three say they simply wanted to help.
“Some people aren’t able to do this, and it’s cold I feel like if we do this, they’ll appreciate people more and they’ll start helping people,” Stevenson said.
So this trio is hoping to start a trend, paying it forward.
“Try to do it! It’s not really that hard! It’s actually pretty easy and it’s fun,” she said.
