HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Just as she crossed the finish line at the Shamrock Half Marathon in Virginia Beach Sunday morning, a 16-year-old girl, described as healthy and athletic, collapsed and died.
Cameron Gallagher ‘s parents rushed over to help, but their daughter’s heart stopped beating.
FOX 4’s sister station, WTVR-TV in Richmond, Va. spoke to Cameron’s parents, who said Cameron and a good friend of hers trained for months for the half-marathon.
