Google is joining websites like Groupon and Living Social, offering a deal a day in Kansas City. It’s called “Google Offers” and the very first deal launched on Tuesday is for the iconic Kansas City bbq joint Arthur Bryant’s.

Bryant’s co-owner tells FOX 4 they’ve never done a deal-a-day offer before but were excited to partner up with Google.

“It’s something we’ve done to reward our customers more than anything else,” said Gary Berbiglia with Arthur Bryant’s. “We don’t do a lot of this type of thing and we thought it was great to get involved with Google and their launch.”
After just three hours, there were already 140 deals purchased for Arthur Bryants.

“Kansas City combines the best of New York (often “Little Apple” due to similarities in configuration, vibrant and diverse ethnic enclaves, arts, culture, architecture and sprawling suburbs),” Google Offers Director Eric Rosenblum said. “Paris (has more boulevards than any city except Paris), and Rome (with more than 200 fountains, second only to the Italian capital) with a twist of the best blues/jazz and BBQ in the country.”

He adds that Google is excited to offer deals to help introduce people to “new businesses as well as old favorites.”
