CLACKAMAS, Ore. — Authorities say that a gunman is dead after he killed two people inside an Oregon mall on Tuesday evening.
According to KOIN-TV in Portland, a fourth person was seriously injured in the shooting at the Clackamas Town Center Mall.
There is no word on what type of weapon was involved. Police say that the gunman appears to have acted alone, and that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
KOIN reports that witnesses inside the mall heard anywhere from 15-20 shots fired in total. The shooter was reportedly wearing a Halloween-style hockey mask, and reportedly entered the mall in a rear entrance at the Macy’s store on the north side of the building.
The mall is located about 11 miles southeast of downtown Portland, and is anchored by major retailers like Sears, JC Penny and Macy’s.
