But this time it’s likely to really happen and hit your wallets.
In December, consumers were warned that the price of milk could double if Congress didn’t pass a new farm bill.
Now, another warning is coming out, but for a very different reason.
The Missouri Dairy Association says prices could jump as much as 36 cents a gallon because one of Missouri’s milk processing plants will likely close later this week due to consolidations and declining supply.
According to the association, it will cost more to haul milk to stores.
