KANSAS CITY, Mo. — According to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office Sunday, Brandon Howell now faces first degree murder charges in the killings of five people in south Kansas City.

A Jackson County Grand Jury indicted Howell on the two additional charges, which replace assault charges that were filed earlier.

These charges are for the attacks of George and Ann Taylor in their south Kansas City home in early September. The initial assault charges were filed before they died.

According to court records, police found the Taylor’s beaten inside their home on Woodbridge Lane.

Officers found three other victims in their yards or driveways at nearby homes.
