This discussion comes from House Bill 2052, which allows Kansas residents with concealed permits to carry in more public places. Schools aren’t one of them, but under the law school boards can designate employees who can bring guns into public schools
Currently, only officers can carry guns on school property, but that could change when this new law takes effect on July 1.
