OLATHE, Kan. — Chilling words, reportedly from the mouth of Frazier Glenn Cross, the man accused of shooting and killing three people at Overland Park Jewish-related centers in April 2014, are now being made public.
On the recordings, cross purportedly speaks to a neo-Nazi group member from jail in Olathe.
The Southern Poverty Law Center released the recordings first posted to a hate forum.
In these recordings, which FOX 4 warns some may find upsetting, Cross proudly takes credit for killing three people that day in April 2014.
He says he wants to go on the record admitting what he says he did.
“Of course never at any time I planned to deny this. I did it. I planned it. I schemed it. My biggest fear was that I would get caught before I did it,” he said. “Why did I do it? Because my conscience compelled me to kill Jews that`s why. And I feel perfectly justified in it.”
In the recordings, in which cross is believed to be speaking, he says three weeks before the shooting he went to the emergency room with emphysema and decided he needed to kill Jewish people before he died.
Cross says he planned the attack by making about five different trips to the Jewish Community Center in Leawood, and he checked out the security there.
Cross says he was overjoyed after killing three people, he said he thought they were all Jewish.
He says he does regret killing 14-year-old Reat Underwood, however, and he regrets killing Christians. But he stops short of completely apologizing.
“I do regret that I killed white people. However, white people have to learn if they`re gonna be accomplice of the Jews, go to their damn fundraisers, they`re gonna have to face the consequence and place themselves in danger when they do that,” said Cross.
Cross says he feels like when he dies, he’ll be rewarded for killing three innocent people; Reat Underwood, his grandfather, William Corporon, and Terri Lamano.
Cross will go to trial later this month. He will be representing himself.
