KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police tell FOX 4 that a deadly shooting happened in an apartment in the 100 block of NW Harlem, which is across 169 Highway from the Charles Wheeler Downtown Airport.

Preliminary investigation reveals that one woman is dead, she was found inside a second-floor apartment according to FOX 4’s Shannon O’Brien. Officers were called to the scene at about 3:30 p.m.

The woman’s identity hasn’t been revealed, but neighbors say she’s between 18 and 20 years old, and was described as a nice person who could often be seen walking her dog.

“There’s so much going on here in Kansas City, there’s been 60-something homicides already, we got our police officers out here, I know they’re going to find them, I know she needs justice,” neighbor Matthew Ross said.

Neighbors said that there was a disturbance a couple of nights ago in the area, and police are questioning one person, but so far haven’t named a suspect yet.
