KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A metro teenager was shot and died from their injuries Monday after first being taken to Children’s Mercy Clinics at 31st and Broadway.
Someone drove the 16-year-old to the clinic, but there’s no emergency room at the clinic and staff called 911. This happened at about 1:15 p.m. Clinic employees came out to help the teen, who was eventually taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
KCPD tells FOX4 the teen died sometime between the clinic and arriving at the hospital. Details about the shooting and where it happened haven’t been released yet.
This was one of two deadly shootings on Monday afternoon, the other happening at 12th and Brooklyn. FOX4 will update this story with more details as they’re confirmed.
