KANSAS CITY, Mo. – – Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker filed a sodomy charge against a 41-year-old man after a child reported Allen Blankenship touched his private part.
According to court records, relatives of the boy said they had been concerned about Blankenship being around the boy. They told investigators that the boy had disclosed that Blankenship touched the boy.
On April 9, relatives said Blankenship was found with the boy, wearing only underwear, sitting on his lap. Earlier they said they found Blankenship in his bed with the boy under the covers.
Prosecutors asked for a $250,000 bond.
