KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The son of Kansas City, Mo., mayor Sly James has been booked into the Johnson County jail Monday to begin serving a 30-day sentence for a probation violation, the Kansas City Star reported.

Court records state Kyle James is serving probation related to a 2009 driving-under-the-influence case.

Records online did not indicate what kind of violation the 24-year-old committed.
