KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A trumpet player with the Kansas City Symphony is scheduled to be in court Thursday, May 8 after prosecutors charged him with child sexual exploitation and possession of child porn.

Gary Schutza, 56, is employed as a principal trumpeter with the Kansas City Symphony. According to his online bio posted on the Symphony’s website, Schutza has an extensive musical career dating back to his high school days in Texas.

After Schutza’s arrest, he bonded out of jail. He is expected to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8.
