KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Wyandotte County District Attorney’s office confirmed that Kansas City, Kansas police officer, Michael Mills, was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of criminal discharge of a firearm for an incident that happened on Christmas day.
Mills is accused of firing a gun into an occupied vehicle in the 3800 block of 112th Terrace on Dec. 25. No one in the car was hurt. Police said Mills is not related to any of the occupants but knows them.
Mills posted a $25,000 bond and was released from jail.
