KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A pair of Kansas City, Kansas, Police officers are expected to plead guilty on Tuesday to federal theft charges following a FBI sting operation last year.

Darryl Forest and Dustin Sillings are two of three officers charged in the sting operation. Forest is accused of stealing electronics and cash from a suspect while carrying out a search warrant.

Forest and Sillings, along with fellow accused officer Jeffrey Bell, belonged to an elite police unit called SCORE, or the Selective Crime Occurrence Reduction Enforcement Unit, which was meant to reduce violent crime.

The officers were targeted by the FBI following a citizen complaint. Bell is expected in court on Wednesday.

If convicted, the officers could face up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
