KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police say the youngest Acosta brother has been found safe.

Jorge Acosta, 13, and his younger brother Louis Acosta, 9, both were reported missing around 2 a.m. Wednesday. Jorge was first located at a friend’s home later Wednesday afternoon. His younger brother Louis Acosta, 9, returned home Thursday evening. It’s unclear where he was and police have released no other information.

The brothers were last seen around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. According to police, the boys’ father was at work at the time they disappeared, and their father’s girlfriend says she last saw them when they checked in around 6:30 p.m. A neighbor then saw them around 7 p.m.

Police say that the family, which includes six sons, moved to Kansas City, Kansas, from Independence three months ago. They say that the boy’s mother is deceased and their father doesn’t speak English.
