Tamika Pledger, 38, was charged Sunday with four felony counts of reckless aggravated battery.

The charges come from an incident which occurred in the 1300 block of Troup in Kansas City, Kan.

If convicted, the felonies carry a possible prison sentence of 31 to 136 months, depending on the criminal history of the defendant.

“We don’t have any evidence whatsoever that shows that she targeted any individual or any particular teen, instead what we believe at this point is that it was totally a reckless act,” said Wyandotte Co. District Attorney Jerome Gorman.

Pledger was in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

The incident remains under investigation by the KCK Police Department.

According to a release from Gorman, Pledger had already filed for a seat on the Board of Commissioners of the Unified Government of Wyandotte and KCK, which was formerly held by Mayor Mark Holland.
