KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police are trying to find out who killed 35-year-old Michael Miller.
Police said Miller’s body was dead when they arrived at 26th Street and Monroe early Sunday morning just after 3:00 a.m.
Investigators said another man was also shot and taken to an area hospital where he’s listed in serious, but stable condition.
Geneva Miller told FOX 4 News she spoke with her grandson about 40 minutes before he was killed. He called her to let her know he was on his way to see her.
The elder Miller said she heard the gun shots, but she didn’t know her grandson had been killed just a few feet from her front door until hours later when detectives told her.
So far, police say they have few clues in the case.
The people who live in this neighborhood and who also knew Miller are urging people to cooperate with police so justice can be served.
