KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Saturday KCMO Police Chief Daryl Forte tweeted that a police officer on a motorcycle was struck while stopped at the traffic light located at 79th & Wornall. According to the Kansas City Police Department the accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m.
He said the driver was arrested for driving under the influence and for careless driving. According to the tweet, the officer sustained minor injuries.
