KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Missouri Health Department has reported the first two possible heat deaths of the year on Thursday.
According to the Health Department, one victim was a male born in 1952 while the second apparent heat victim was an infant boy born in 2011.
The Health Department did not release any further information about the two apparent heat deaths, including the identity of the victims or the circumstances of their deaths.
Officials say that it’s important for people to take precautionary measures during times of high heat, including taking frequent breaks, finding a cool spot and drinking lots of water.
