KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools showed good progress in statewide testing during the past year.
Next week is a big week as the school district meets with the state to present its case for provisional accreditation.
“We’ll put forth the best case possible. Now we’re able to sustain that progress,” said Kansas City School Superintendent Stephen Green.
Kansas City schools lost accreditation on January 1, 2012. But last month, the school district announced a 40 percent jump in academic performance rating.
Superintendent Green thinks that’s enought to jump start accreditation now, instead of waiting a few years.
