KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after at least four people were injured in shooting incidents on Friday evening.
According to police, two people were injured in a shooting incident shortly before 7:00 p.m. in the area of 25th and Mersington. The victims were taken to a local hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that two more people showed up at an area hospital with non-threatening gunshot wounds around 9:00 p.m. According to police, the victims say that they received the wounds in a shooting near 24th and Mersington shortly before 7:00 p.m.
Authorities have not identified the victims of the shooting incidents, and they say that they cannot confirm that the two incidents are related. The incidents remain under investigation.
Earlier in the evening, two people were injured in another shooting near Admiral and Virginia in Kansas City, Missouri. The victims were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that shooting incident is unrelated to the incidents near 25th and Mersington. The incident remains under investigation as well.
