KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a fatal shooting near 81st and Hickman Mills Drive on Tuesday night. Police tell FOX 4’s Mary Pulley that two men at a tire shop got into an altercation, and one man shot the other.
Police say officers were sent to the shooting scene at about 7 p.m., and the victim was found inside the business. Investigators say that information they’ve gathered so far suggests the victim went to the shop, got into a confrontation where he and another person showed guns, and he was subsequently shot.
The shooter didn’t flee and is cooperating with police.
The victim has since been identified as 42-year-old Robert Lewis of Kansas City, Mo.
