KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A fence now surrounds the J.C. Nichols fountain on the Country Club Plaza.
On Wednesday, the sculptures were removed in order to replace the concrete bases they sit on.
Crews will also clean up and repair the interior of the fountain.
The major renovations of the iconic fountain are expected to be finished in time for Fountain Day on April 14, 2015.
