KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Missouri police questioned at least two teenage boys at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 3831 E. 43rd Street, about an attempted car theft right across the street at a residence near 43rd and Mersington Ave.

Police say the would-be car-snatchers threw a rock through the window of this car, broke the ignition and tried to back the car out of the driveway in neutral.

The steering wheel locked up and the car hit the house.

Marquan Norwood says it is his girlfriend’s car and that he had just spent about $500 to fix it up.

“They busted the window, obviously don’t know how to drive for stealing cars, you know. Ignorance is bold,” said Norwood.

Police say after the attempted car theft, the boys ran back into the boys and girls club. There have been no charges and the teenagers were released to their parents pending further investigation.
