FT. WORTH, Tex. — When the Kansas Jayhawks paid a visit to Daniel Meyers Coliseum in Ft. Worth last February, the TCU Horned Frogs pulled off the biggest upset in Big 12 basketball history.
This year, not so much. Ten different Jayhawk players logged at least 10 minutes of playing time, and Kansas (15-4,6-0) dominated TCU (9-10, 0-7) from start to finish, winning 91-69.
Freshman forward Andrew Wiggins led KU with a career high 27 points, 19 coming in the first half, nine coming from the free throw line. Fellow freshman Joel Embiid had 14 points and six rebounds, while Perry Ellis had eight points and guard Wayne Seldon had 12.
Senior forward Tarik Black did not play because he is nursing an ankle injury. Freshman Forward Landon Lucas scored a career high seven points, while sophomore Jamari Traylor added eight points.
TCU was led by freshman forward Brandon Parrish who scored 15 points. Kansas remains the only unbeaten team in Big 12 play, and will host Iowa State on Wednesday at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Cyclones snapped a three-game losing streak with a win Saturday afternoon at home against Kansas State.
