KANSAS CITY, Mo. — About 30 young football players got a different kind of workout Saturday morning when they volunteered to load and pack food for Harvesters, Kansas City’s food pantry.

The KC Steelers are a diverse group of kids from the urban core who are learning the importance of volunteer work.
