KANSAS CITY, Mo. — When you have to run in the cold, do you go with boxers or briefs?
If you drove downtown on Saturday, you probably did a double-take when you saw people running in their underwear.
It was called the Cupid Undie Run, and the event, where people ran for a mile while wearing their underwear in downtown Kansas City, helped to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
To Kim Hoskins, whose granddaughter, Olivia, has a brain tumor, it means a lot to hear to see so many people supporting the cause, especially in these temps.
“All the volunteers, everybody, who is running in their undies, in the cold, in Kansas City, we love Kansas City for doing this, thank you,” she said. “Having a big heart and running for such an awesome cause children and even adults with brain tumors that there’s no cure for.”
Most people stayed for the after-party immediately following the run. The same run took place in 27 cities across the United States on Saturday, and three in Australia.
