KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A nurse who worked at Providence Medical Center is facing charges of sexual battery for an incident that allegedly happened to a 22-year-old woman at the hospital in May.
Police say the victim was a patient in the recovery room where nurse Dennis Clark was working at the time.
Clark has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery.
“He (Dennis Clark) is no longer employed at this hospital and we are cooperating fully with law enforcement. Beyond that, we can`t comment due to privacy issues,” said the hospital in a statement.
Sources told FOX 4’s Shannon O’Brien that there may be more victims.
“We hold the safety of our patients as our highest priority. When these allegations came to light, we terminated this person and contacted authorities,” the statement said.
The Wyandotte County district attorney has now requested that the case record be sealed.
FOX 4 submitted a “Request for Disclosure of an Affidavit or Sworn Testimony” to get the public court records on this case. It could take up to five days for the judge to rule on the request.
