KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A man hired by the owners of a house to fix an air conditioner was burned Sunday afternoon after a small explosion. The incident happened at the house located in the 6100 block of Sloan Avenue.
Police said the worker was using a propane torch when suddenly there was a build up of gas, which ignited a small explosion. According to the authorities, the man received burns on his arms and face and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The damage to the house was estimated to be around $5,000. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the explosion.
