KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Prosecutors charged a man on Friday in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a KCK man.
Lucious Moore was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death.
Police say Moore turned himself in on Thursday.
Relatives of the victim, 34-year-old Darrin Smith, say Smith celebrated his 34th birthday just a week ago with his family.
Relatives told FOX 4 that Smith was walking to his cousin’s home when he was killed.
Denise Ford says her son loved to fish, garden and adored his two little nephews and niece.
Smith’s mother says the charges against Moore give her some comfort.
Moore is being held with bond set at $75,000.
